Marcia is thrilled to make her Old Creamery debut in Nuncrackers, and is very happy to ‘get back in the habit.' Based in Cedar Rapids, Marcia performs extensively throughout the region. She has appeared at Riverside Theatre in Iowa City in two productions of I Love You, You’re Perfect, Now Change, as well as Sweet and Hot:The Music of Harold Arlen, Ruthless:The Musical, DIVAS: Broadways Best, and The 25th Anniversary RT Cabaret. Other recent credits include GYPSY (Mama Rose), The Full Monty (Vicki), The Laramie Project (Marge), and Once Upon A Mattress (Queen Aggravain). Additionally, she has appeared in opera theatre productions of Tosca and Madam Butterfly. Marcia has been a featured vocalist at several venues in the area, and performs regularly with area jazz and big bands. Off stage she works as the Community Relations Supervisor for the Cedar Rapids School District and was named Iowa Communicator of the Year for 2008. She also currently serves as vice president of the Iowa Cultural Corridor Alliance. “Thanks to family, friends, and colleagues for helping me stay on the high wire!”
