Henry and Ellen relocated to Ox Yoke Inn
Due to the recent flooding in the area, The Old Creamery Theatre's production of Henry and Ellen which was scheduled to take place on the Depot Stage has been relocated to the Ox Yoke Inn in Main Amana. We are very grateful our neighbors are helping us out in our time of need. Ox Yoke Inn desserts and beverages will also be available during intermission. Camp Creamery has been awarded the Corridor Business Journal's Nonprofit Innovation Award for programming for 2008! Staff members will be accepting the award at a reception on June 24th at Mercy Medical Center in Cedar Rapids. The Old Creamery Theatre will also receive a $1,500 grant made possible by The Greater Cedar Rapids Community Foundation and the Johnson County Community Foundation. The Nerd, by Larry Shue opens May 30th on The Old Creamery's Main Stage. To celebrate our 20th anniversary in Amana, we’re bringing back a hit comedy from our very first season in The Colonies! Willum is at his wit's end because of an annoying houseguest who has overstayed his welcome. No matter what Willum does, this "nerd" just won't leave. In June we celebrate 20 years in Amana with The Nerd. Our summer musical is Clue: The Musical, you've played the game, now play the musical. Current Old Creamery actors Sean McCall and Jackie Wynes, along with Old Creamery alumnus Ryan Gaffney, Emily Pucell, and Nick Hodge will appear with television and Broadway star Richard Kind in A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum. The show runs January 11 – 27 at the Stephen Sondheim Center for the Performing Arts in Fairfield, Iowa.
Forum is winner of 15 awards including the Tony for Best Musical, and is directed by Randal K. West, who has both directed and choreographed shows at The Old Creamery.
